Privacy Policy

CompareToCoupon is operated by Kuntaka AI Labs (OPC) Private Limited. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and to give visitors in the UK and EEA the rights the UK GDPR provides.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we never ask for payment details. In normal use we collect:

• Request data your browser sends: IP address, user agent, referring page and the page requested. Used to serve the site, and kept in server logs.
• An approximate country, derived from your IP or a header your network provides, so the site opens on the right storefront.
• A record of which offer you clicked through to a retailer. This is counted, and it feeds how offers are ranked.
• Anything you type into the search or Ask box, which is sent to our server to answer the question.

We do not collect special category data, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Why we are allowed to

Under the DPDP Act we process personal data for the legitimate purpose of providing the service you asked for. For UK and EEA visitors the lawful basis is legitimate interests — running and securing the site, and understanding which offers are useful — balanced against your rights, and consent where a non-essential cookie is used.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider, which runs the servers this site is served from, and the model provider that writes the Ask answer. Search text sent to the model is not used to identify you and is not retained by us beyond answering. When you click through to a retailer you leave this site and that retailer's own privacy policy applies.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for up to 90 days. Aggregated counts — how many people used an offer — are kept indefinitely because they are no longer personal data.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to erase it, or to stop a particular use, and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are in the UK.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
